Recruits Graduate from the Tulsa Police Academy

KWGS News

16 new police officers get badges today. A ceremony is held at the Tulsa police academy to mark the graduation of the 16 recruits after six months of training. One of the grads is Emily Michie, who is following in her father’s footsteps. He spent 25 years on the Tulsa Police Force. She says it was kind of always in the back of her mind to become a law officer, but she didn’t really make up her mind until after college.

The recruits now transition to officers in training and will spend the next 16 weeks with field training officers.
