Perpetual Beta: America's Test Kitchen

America's Test Kitchen is a real 2,500 square foot test kitchen located just outside of Boston that is home to more than three-dozen full-time cooks, editors, food scientists, tasters, and cookware specialists. Their mission is simple: to develop the absolute best recipes for all of your favorite foods. To do this, they test each recipe 30, 40, sometimes as many as 70 times, until they arrive at the combination of ingredients, technique, temperature, cooking time, and equipment that yields the best, most-foolproof recipe.

Hear America's Test Kitchen, Thursdays at noon on Public Radio 89.5-1 as part of our Perpetual Beta series of programs. Help us decide whether this program should continue. Give us your 30-second opinion below.

Listen for reviews and ratings on all manner of kitchen equipment. Discover supermarket buying guides and weekly recipes. Call their toll-free number and you could have your questions answered by host Christopher Kimball.

(One of our favorite episodes delves into the Secret Life of Betty Crocker.)
