Tune in on Saturday the 8th at 10pm for the next presentation of All This Jazz, right here on Public Radio 89.5-1. We'll also offer, as ever, a 7pm re-airing of our show on Sunday the 9th on Jazz 89.5-2, which is our station's all-jazz HD Radio channel. (And please keep in mind that you can learn more about ATJ, and always obtain the latest playlist information, at this link.)
Each and every week, All This Jazz spins modern jazz, both recent and classic, from Coltrane and Chet to Miles and Moody, from Wynton and Weather Report to Scofield and Sandoval. Also, the second half of our two-hour program always carries a theme.
This time out --- theme-wise --- with Good Ol' Val's Day just around the corner, we'll be digging some terrific "heart" tunes across a range of jazz styles. It'll be "My Heart Belongs to Daddy," "I Let a Song Go Out of My Heart," "My Foolish Heart," "Heartsong" (which is a nice piece by Fred Hersch), and so on. An absolute and audible Love Fest, in other words, and ever so easy on the ear.
Hope you can join us.
