Good Friday Shooting Suspects to Stand Trial

Tulsa County Booking Photo

The two suspects in Tulsa’s fatal Good Friday Shooting Spree are ordered to trial. Tulsa County Special Judge David Youll issued the ruling mid-afternoon. A preliminary hearing, which had started last month, for Jacob England and Alvin Watts, resumed this afternoon.

England and Watts stand accused of killing three people and shooting two more while on rampage in North Tulsa in the early morning hours of Good Friday. All of the victims were Black while the suspects are not.

The pair also face hate crimes, but under Oklahoma law, those are considered misdemeanors and were not part of the preliminary hearing.
